CAEFS is a registered charity and all donations over $3 will receive a charitable tax receipt.
We cannot do this work without your support. You can choose how you’d like to contribute to our work by donating to one of our funding streams:
Your donation will help to fund the day-to-day work of CAEFS, including our regional advocacy visits, our toll-free regional advocacy lines, and more. The fund offers us the most flexibility to put your money where it can make the most impact.
Your donation will help to find the Memorial Bursary: an annual bursary distributed by CAEFS that seeks to help criminalized women and gender-diverse people in reaching their educational and employment goals. You can read more about our memorial bursary fund here.
CAEFS is working to create change on a systemic level. Part of this work involves engaging in Public Inquests, Constitutional Challenges, and Human Rights Cases that will impact the lives of criminalized women and gender-diverse people. Your donation will fund these important – and often – costly initiatives.
You can read more about our legal work here.
Help make a difference by supporting a scholarship for someone with lived experience of incarceration to attend Connecting Paths: The 15th National Conference on Critical Perspectives in Criminology and Social Justice, being held May 20–22, 2026, at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. All donations collected by CAEFS will go directly to individuals to fund their attendance at the conference. More information about the conference can be found here
